This guide is specifically for tradesman.

Once we've installed a new supply to your property, or we've approved an additional load, the next thing you need to do is get the supply connected to a meter. Follow this step-by-step guide.

Step 1 - Complete a Connection of Meter form

When your supply works are complete and paid for, you'll need to get your electrician to complete a Connection of Meter form.

The Connection of Meter form is an editable PDF. You can complete it using a computer, or print it and fill it out by hand.

Step 3 - Next steps

Single meter

If you're enquiring about a single meter, we'll always try and process your request within 10 clear working days of receiving it.

Multiple installations

If your request is for multiple installations, we'll contact you to discuss further and arrange a site visit if necessary.

New installations

If the installation is brand new, please ensure a registered JE customer is ready to take responsibility for the meter and supply. We can't energise the supply from the meter unless a customer is signed up and has an account with us.

Incomplete forms

If the form is incomplete, we'll contact you to discuss further and arrange a site visit if necessary.
