This guide is specifically for tradespeople. It covers what you need to do before and during installation. Please follow this guide to ensure we can assist you as quickly as possible.

Step 1 - House size

Complete a whole house size calculation.

Step 2 - Complete an Electricity Supply Enquiry (ESE) form

Complete the ESE form to ensure the home's electricity service and local network can accept the additional load. This important step protects you and your customer!

The ESE form is an editable PDF. You can complete it using a computer, or print it and fill it out by hand.

Step 4 - We confirm receipt of your application

Once we've received your completed ESE form, we will send you written confirmation and begin processing your application.

Step 5 - Plan your installation

Plan your installation. If you comply with our Approved Heating Guidelines, your customer can benefit from our Economy 20 Plus discounted heating tariff.

Step 6 - Changing tariff?

If your customer is changing tariff, you will also need to submit a Connection of Meter form quoting your ESE number from your confirmation letter. You'll need to run a new supply from the meter to the boiler to take advantage of our Economy20+ tariff, with isolation at the meter and the boiler.

Step 7 - Advise the customer on finance options

If your customer is switching from oil or gas heating, they can pay for the installation through our zero or low-interest finance offers. They can learn more about the options in our Finance for electric heating guide.

Step 8 - Installation

Carry out your installation in line with the manufacturer's specifications. If you need help, our Energy Solutions Team deal with most major manufacturers that supply the island.

Step 9 - After installation

If your customer needs help setting up their heating controls, tell them to contact our Customer Care Team. Our trained Home Energy Advisers offer free home visits to help your customers get the most from their new system.
