Terms and Conditions

General

These Terms and Conditions apply to the ‘JE Thermal Imaging Camera’ Scheme (the “Scheme”). By entering the scheme, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions:

  1. Details specific to the Scheme are displayed on our website; Scheme Homepage.
  2. The Scheme will be run by Jersey Electricity, a company registered in Jersey with registered number RBN5558 and registered office at Queen’s Road, St. Helier, Jersey (“Jersey Electricity”).
  3. These terms and conditions are the rules (“Rules”) that apply to this Scheme. By entering this Scheme, you are agreeing to be bound by these Rules and any other applicable instructions.
  4. Jersey Electricity reserves the right to cancel or amend the Scheme and/or the Rules without prior notice, but we will do our best to avoid doing so. Any changes will be posted on our website.
  5. In the event of any dispute regarding any aspect of the Scheme, the decision of Jersey Electricity shall be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  6. These Scheme terms and conditions are separate to the terms and conditions for the supply of gas and electricity that you will have with Jersey Electricity and will not affect your rights and obligations under those terms.
  7. We may change these terms and conditions at any time and the change will be effective on publication of the revised terms and conditions on our website.

Scheme Loan

  1. To borrow a camera, you must be a Jersey Electricity customer with a Jersey Electricity account in your name (if you have a joint account both account holders will need to agree to borrowing the camera).
  2. We will charge your Jersey Electricity account £250 if the camera is not returned to us or is significantly damaged (un-usable).
  3. The cameras must be picked up on a Saturday from the Support Desk in the Powerhouse shop (behind the café) (during Powerhouse opening hours 9am-7pm).
  4. You must bring a suitable form of ID (driving license or passport) when you pick up the camera, to ensure that you are a Jersey Electricity customer. Make sure the person who is named on your account picks up the camera.
  5. Only use the charger provided to charge the camera.
  6. By entering the Scheme, you warrant that all information submitted by you is true, current and complete. If any information you submit is found to be fraudulent or incorrectly completed or if Jersey Electricity has reasonable grounds to believe that you have breached any of the Rules, Jersey Electricity reserves the right to remove you from the Scheme.
  7. Jersey Electricity will not be liable to reimburse any expenses incurred with entering the Scheme.
  8. We cannot guarantee you will be able to book a camera as this is dependent on demand and customer credit status.

Scheme Loan Return

  1. While you're borrowing the camera, you're responsible for what happens to it and for returning it to us safely.
  2. You'll need to securely package the camera in the case it came in with its charging wire.
  3. The camera must be returned by the following Wednesday to the Support Desk in the Powerhouse shop (behind the café).
