Customers who will need to close their account

You will need to close your account if:

  • You are moving to an address outside of Jersey; and
  • You won't be responsible for paying the electricity anymore

In order close your account you will need to complete a form either online or on paper, whichever you prefer.

Online

Paper

You must complete your chosen form within 48 working hours of moving out of your property in Jersey.

You will need the following details to complete your chosen form:

  • Your Customer Number
  • Phone and email contact details
  • Current address
  • Billing address

Paper forms should be printed, signed and returned to the following address:

Customers who will need to keep their account open

You will need to keep your account open if:

  • You are moving to an address outside of Jersey; and
  • You will still be responsible for paying the electricity at an address in Jersey

Common situations in which you will need to keep your account open include:

  • Temporarily moving abroad but keeping your home in Jersey
  • Moving abroad and renting out your home in Jersey

Even if you aren't using any electricity at your property, you will still be responsible for paying the Daily Service Charge.
