Choosing the right tariff
It's not always easy to work out which tariff will give you the best deal. If you need help or advice, our Customer Care Team can advise you which tariff is right for your business.
For small and medium businesses
We offer four commercial tariffs for small and medium businesses, depending on whether you use electricity to heat your premises and hot water. Commercial Embedded Generators (EmGs) connected in parallel with Jersey Electricity's network after 1 May 2019 will incur a Standby Charge of £3.38 (£3.22) per kWp per month for installations up to 50kWp, irrespective of whether the premise with EmG is on the Buy Back Tariff.
We will determine the Standby Charge for Commercial installations greater than 50kWp on a case-by-case basis.
Standard Commercial
One rate for all electricity used by all appliances, day or night. Suitable if you use the majority of electricity during the day and don't regularly use electricity to heat your premises or hot water.

A flexible, three-rate, uninterrupted heating tariff offering 20 hours of cheaper electricity in any 24 for approved heating and hot water systems. Suitable for central heating systems, underfloor heating, electric flow boilers or heat pumps, providing heat and hot water when you need it.

A tariff that provides discounted electricity for heating, hot water and other appliances used off peak. Suitable for premises with approved storage heating and hot water systems connected on a dedicated supply circuit.

We offer two Maximum Demand commercial tariffs for large businesses and commercial premises.
These tariffs are subject to a minimum charge of 30 kiloVolt amperes (kVA). Voltage refers to the point at which we provide the supply.
Standard Maximum Demand KVA Commercial
A single-rate tariff for commercial customers that require a service capacity greater than 100A (three phase). Suitable if you use the majority of electricity during the day.

Commercial EmGs connected in parallel with Jersey Electricity's network after 1 May 2019 will incur a Standby Charge of 13.05 pence (incl. GST) per kWp of embedded generation per day for installations up to 50kWp, irrespective of whether the premise with EmG is on the Buy Back Tariff.
