Have you worked at JE since you left full-time education?

Yes, Jersey Electricity was my first job after graduating University.

What was your first role at JE?

I joined as a Trainee Marketing Assistant on a 3 month temporary contract.

What made you go for that role?

I was really interested in marketing as a career, as that is what I studied at University. The opportunity to work at JE really appealed to me due to their sustainability ethos and the diverse work that they do.

How have your skills developed during your time with JE?

Its been really interesting putting to use my university degree in a professional environment. The team is very supportive and their are lots of training opportunities. I have learned a lot about social media, PR, and marketing campaigns.

How has JE supported your career decisions?

JE have been very supportive, and my career is progressing from trainee to a permanent Marketing Assistant role. There are lots of opportunities for training but also such a wide variety of projects to get involved in.

Finally, what advice would you give someone just starting out in their chosen career?

Be ambitious and focused on what you want and how you are going to achieve it.
